Network+ Certification

Network+ course serves as a general introduction to computer networking including local and wide area network technology. This course covers the areas of network architecture, topologies, protocols especially TCP/IP, network operating systems, network installation, upgrading, troubleshooting, managing user accounts and passwords, network securities, remote access and administration, and fault tolerance and disaster recovery. This course prepares you for the CompTIA Network+ Certification Examination.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Network troubleshooting:

    Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, including issues with cables, network devices, and network protocols. 

  • Network configuration:

    Setting up and configuring network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. 

  • Network monitoring:

    Keeping track of network performance metrics like bandwidth usage, packet loss, and network latency. 

  • Basic network security:

    Implementing fundamental security measures like password management, access control lists (ACLs), and network segmentation 

  • Hardware installation and maintenance:

    Installing and maintaining network hardware components like network interface cards (NICs), cables, and network devices. 

  • Network documentation:

    Maintaining clear documentation of network topology, device configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. 

  • User support:

    Assisting end-users with network connectivity issues and troubleshooting basic network problems. 

  • Understanding network protocols:

    Familiarity with key network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. 

  • Wireless network management:

    Configuring and troubleshooting wireless networks, including access points and security settings.
