Office Automation Course

 

The course teaches students basic software applications in word processing, electronic spreadsheets, electronic messaging / personal informational management, and presentation graphics.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Document creation and formatting: Writing, editing, and formatting text documents in Microsoft Word, including proper use of styles, tables, lists, headers, and footers. Managing document layout and design according to company standards. 

  • Spreadsheet management: Creating and manipulating spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formulas, functions, charts, and graphs. Performing data analysis and calculations using advanced Excel features. 

  • Presentation development: Designing and delivering professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, incorporating visuals, animations, and transitions. Structuring presentations with clear narrative flow. 

  • Email communication: Managing email correspondence effectively using Microsoft Outlook, including composing, organizing, and responding to emails. Scheduling meetings and managing calendars through Outlook. 

  • Collaboration and file sharing: Sharing documents and collaborating with colleagues on projects using Microsoft's cloud-based features. 

  • Technical support: Troubleshooting basic issues related to Microsoft Office applications for colleagues. 

 

Job Titles: Administrative assistant, Office Manager, Executive Assistant, IT Support Technician, and Database Specialist.
